Finder

Finder first removes games that do not meet hard factual requirements: player count, local or online setup, platform availability, exact crossplay pairs, multiplayer mode and a free-only requirement where selected.

Eligible games are then ranked using the active context: solo, pair, friends or family suitability; mood; difficulty; session length; low-end PC preference; and relevant experience signals. For competitive requests, factual PvP support is not enough—the catalogue also records whether competitive play is incidental, meaningful or central.

“Supports four players” does not automatically mean “great with four players.” Missing information is handled cautiously, and known factual limits take priority over softer recommendation scores.

WTG score is not Finder fit.

A WTG score is an editorial opinion about a game. Finder fit is calculated for the answers in one specific search. Editorial medals do not automatically force a game to rank first.

Games Like

Games Like is a separate comparison system. It considers normalized game identity, genre and subgenre, gameplay structure, combat identity, social structure, mechanics and broader experience overlap. It also looks for meaningful differences so superficially similar titles do not become interchangeable.

We do not publish raw formulas or pretend the ordering is objectively correct. Results can improve as catalogue evidence becomes more complete.
