Privacy at WhatToGame
This page describes how the current site handles information and measurement.
Information you submit
WhatToGame currently has no user accounts and no live contact form. Finder answers are sent to the site to calculate recommendations; they are not tied to an account. Search runs against the game catalogue and does not search the web.
Technical information
The site is hosted through Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may process request information such as IP address, device/browser details, requested URLs, timestamps and security signals to deliver and protect the site.
Analytics
WhatToGame uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage and improve the product. Google may process analytics data on our behalf. Analytics-related storage is controlled through the Google consent system: its default state is denied, and you can reject analytics consent. When storage is denied, the Google tag may send limited cookieless measurements but does not receive permission to set analytics cookies.
Browser storage and your choices
The consent system may store your privacy choice so it can be respected. Finder editing state is represented in the page URL. You can reopen your choices through the “Privacy choices” link in the footer or clear stored site data through your browser.
Advertising and third parties
Advertising is not currently active. AdSense site review does not enable ad units, Auto Ads or advertising cookies on WhatToGame. Google Fonts is requested by the browser to display site typography, so Google may receive ordinary request metadata. Links to game stores and publishers lead to services with their own privacy terms.
